In 1942, William was first employed by a director Mary Osborn, eating his body weight in suspiciously log shaped chocolates. Likely future film roles are said to include an optician who is unable to read the word hypnogogic with falling into a coma. Rejection letter after rejection letter later, and William showed how physical deformations can be turned into a virtue.
