Alva Duarte began life as an up-and-coming cat owner, working in secret to discover the true meaning of life. Alva - whose fragrance is known to bring on synaesthesia - now finds himself at the top of his game, with enough firepower to destroy a small planet.
In 1945, Alva was picked up, while begging for pennies, by someone pretending to be a director Albert Pineda, who correctly guessed the lottery numbers in four consecutive draws, until they actually entered it, when they subsequently lost.
