Though once famous for soliciting in a creche, Dennis constantly finds himself linked with the most eligible luvvies in the showbiz world. Dennis Ashley (who computers at the time suggested was "least likely to live beyond childhood" ) fought endlessly to combat the early rumours spread by highly unattractive parents Robert and Rosalie Ashley. Amusing rumours continue to circulate around Dennis due to an aim of wanting to be able to invent a device that could kick people's arses from a distance. On 4th July, 1932, Dennis was picked up, while working close by on another production, by agent Frank Evans, trying to get donations for a fake charity.
Dennis is a true exemplification of the proverb: don't count your chickens before they are hatched.
