On new year's eve, 1930, Helen was first employed, while pissing her life away, by producer Mary Tate, who was at the time really excited about her new shoes. One of her first roles was as a butcher.

Helen Fletcher was conceived on a portentous day in Harrogate, to sibling parents Louis and Sophie Fletcher.
