Colby, who was once a fisherman, now finds himself without any semblance of charm. On an auspicious day in 1949, Colby was first employed, while pissing his life away, by oft-hooded-talent scout Albert Pineda, not long after winning "world's most anxious smile award" in Amsterdam.

Colby Bean started life as a computer salesman; one of those who in their youth went on holiday in order to pick up new and interesting venereal diseases. Colby hopes to shortly accept roles pertaining to being a chef and a fanatical it guy. On parole for crimes he did not commit, Colby is said to be "radiant" with hope.
