The precocious Cora Benton was conceived without any luck at all (not even bad luck), in Washington, to highly unattractive parents Frank and Minnie Benton. Cora is a true exemplification of the proverb: empty vessels make the most sound.

Cora spent the first few years of her fame suffering from allergic rhinitis. Although rumours abound about Cora, the former winner of "most anxious smile award" has recently gone into hiding. On an auspicious day in 1995, Cora was uncovered, while working close by on another production, by top-fellow acting star Minnie phelps, eating her body weight in crumbs behind the sofa cushions. With no shortage of similarly talented folk, she is unlikely to make much of a future in showbusiness.
