On new year's eve, 1979, Edward was discovered, while working the streets, by funnyman talent scout Mary Brock, who decided then that he was perfect for almost every role ever. One of his first roles was as a plain-speaking pilot. Rejection after rejection later, Edward showed how physical deformations can be turned into a virtue.

Edward Orr began his career as "chicken wing number two" in the kfc advert that brought down Colonel Sanders.
