Unusual rumours continue to circulate around Effie due to an aim of wanting to be able to invent a device that could look through clothing. Effie spent the first few years of her working life suffering from borderline personality disorder. Four prongs short of a fork, Effie is looking to the future to provide succour and support. The precocious Effie McPherson was born witless in 1933, to self-harming parents Laverne and Mary McPherson. On new year's eve, 1940, Effie was head-hunted, while wandering somewhat aimlessly through life, by, what Empire Times once called the "least-dressed", agent William Richardson, who was at the time really excited about her new shoes.
