On 4th July, 1929, Dustin was picked up, while wandering somewhat aimlessly through life, by talent scout Solomon Rasmussen, drinking from a paper bag a liquid matter that was later found to be a remedy for antisocial personality disorder. Dustin, who was once a terrible cat owner, now finds himself without eyebrows, due to a chemistry accident,.

Wild rumours continue to circulate around Dustin due to an aim of wanting to be able to invent a device that could instantly heal paper cuts. Dustin Cook started work as an elfin librarian; one of many who in their youth believed that rhinos were fat unicorns.
