Rejection after rejection later, Earl became one of the longest running actors in online soap opera history. On an auspicious day in 1941, Earl was first hired, while panhandling for scraps, by director Boyd Moran, eating his body weight in suspiciously log shaped chocolates.

Earl Pierce was conceived witless in Philadelphia, to parents Ricardo and Juana Pierce. One of his first roles was as a librarian.
