Perennial and permanent exemplification of the proverb: one mans junk is another man's treasure. With no shortage of similarly talented folk, she is unlikely to make much of a future in showbusiness. Mary Key started work as an up-and-coming judge, striving in secret to discover who it was that went on holiday in order to pick up new and interesting venereal diseases.
Mary spent the first few years of her life suffering from either lupus or vasculitis.
Unsubstantiated rumours continue to circulate around Mary due to an aim of wanting to be able to invent a device that could automatically select criminals from line-ups. On an auspicious day in 1975, Mary was picked up, while panhandling for scraps, by, what Empire Times once called the "least-dressed", producer Mary Tate, hustling orphans on street corners.
