SATIRE, Illinois: Celebrity nude photos, including those of the star of Hunger Games, Jennifer Lawrence, are quickly being added to the internet despite law firms' attempts to issue cease and desist orders. Many sites are choosing not to remove the material, and may yet end up in front of the eyes of some children, which may blind and/or disable them for life. Most analysts, however, have said that only adults have so far downloaded or viewed any of the material, but some groups disagree with that assessment.
"The problem here is that images like can be seen here in this situation are pretty much the most sought after material you can imagine. The act of sending and receiving nudes is a pretty much daily occurence amongst children from around 13 years onwards, having grown up in a world where SnapChat self nudes and Facebook penis photos are par for the course. I for one am constantly sending images of my johnson to people - it's part of life, in the same way that we go to the supermarket, or buy VHS videos from Blockbuster. Youngsters have definitely seen these photos."
The potential dangers for children, and some vulnerable adults, are illustrated in the case of Jeremy Jereboah, a 34 year old born-again Christian who lost his sight permanently while masturbating to stolen video footage of Pamela Anderson Lee performing various sex acts on her (then) husband, Tommy, in 1996. Although some doctors have said that Jeremy is a "lying little sh*t", his parents are adamant that he bears no blame for the incident.
Some celeb gossip sites like gawker and TMZ are well known for retaining copies of illicit material (naked photographs or sex videos) but so far have chosen to steer clear of presenting the images, of which there are said to be 13 or 14, of Jennifer Lawrence, or any of the other celebrities involved in the leaked nudes scandal.
