Report story

Reports are filtering in through media channels of a possible sighting of the first sentient piece of technology. Although details are scarce, Twitter is abuzz with news that a dishwasher has been seen panhandling and climbing skyscrapers, before finally vanishing from sight at around 3pm yesterday.

The dishwasher, 4, had been seen during the day set outside a general store in Chicago, with a hat on top, along with a note saying "Starving musician. Please give generously." The hat was said to be red. Passers by who attempted to take a photograph of the dishwasher were said to be perplexed by the apparent failings of their own technology, and were chased away by a possible guardian to the dishwasher, who allegedly smelled like roasted peanuts.

Later in the afternoon the dishwasher was seen by some to be floating upwards, before finally disappearing from sight.

"It's an unusual case," remarked Professor Pierre Stromberg, Head of Technology at Princeburg university. "It certainly seems that the dishwasher was sentient - or at least neither I, nor my colleagues, are capable of coming up with a different explanation. Can you?"

Main stream media outlets are currently avoiding this news story, so hopefully this article will confirm what many of you have already been reading about on Twitter. It seems that sentient technology is real, and we should all fear for our lives and/or virginities.

There is nothing more offputting than people spouting about stuff they clearly know nothing about. I don't know.
