A report coming out of a Brazilian tabloid called Celebridade says that UFC Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes and partner Nina Ansaroff have wed in a private ceremony at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro. This reporter then contacted Nunes over the phone to confirm if the story was true and Nunes did in fact confirm that it was.
“It’s true.”
She said.
“Marrying Nina was the happiest moment of my life. Much better than beating Miesha for the Bantamweight title and even better than beating Ronda to reaffirm my supremacy in the Octagon. I used the money that I got from the fight with Ronda to buy my tuxedo and the beautiful bridal dress that Nina wore. She looked so gorgeous. Like a princess from a fairytale. I am so honoured that she chose me to be her prince charming. I know for a fact that we will be happy together. And hopefully with Nina being my wife, it can help to inspire her to do much better in her fights and to be as dominant in her Division as I am in mine."
Honeymoon plans have been put on hold for the time being though, as Nunes went on:
“Both Nina and myself have decided to put our honeymoon plans on hold for the time being until after I beat Valentina’s ass. I busted up her left eye the first time. This time I will bust up both eyes and hopefully force her into retirement. The money I get from that fight will be used to finance our honeymoon.”
Nunes also spoke of having children with Nina, as she concluded:
“We also want to start a family too and we are looking at potential sperm donors. We have already spoken to former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva and he said that he is willing to help us in that regard. So don’t be surprised if in the next twenty years or so you see mine and Nina's child doing in the Octagon what his or her fathers used to do - beat people’s asses.”
