Angry Jamaicans troll Dafne Schippers' Facebook page

Many angry Jamaicans, still upset over the failures of Usain Bolt to win another gold medal in the 100M and Elaine Thompson to make the podium at the World Championships over the weekend have gone on Dafne Schippers' Facebook page to take out their frustrations on her. Their anger seems to be centered on the fact that Schippers came from behind to snatch the bronze medal seemingly out of nowhere running out of the dreaded lane nine in the Women's 100M final, coupled by the fact that she is white. They didn't mince words as they let the Dutch athlete know how they felt. One Facebook user going by the name Jamaican4life had this to say to the bronze medalist:

"It afi good to know that you white privilege afi enable you to win another medal in de World Championships once again you drug cheat. You kno' Elaine is a betta' athlete than you and she'll be back to whip your ass inna de 200M. Just wait an' see. Fyuh bon' Dafne."

Another user going by the name BorntoRun said:

"Me tink dem afi givin' you blood claat white gyul a pass man. Dem kno' you afi cheat. Look at de dam acne on you dam face. How can you win a medal running out of lane nine? It afi look fishy to me."

Schippers, in an effort to defend herself had this response to the trollers:

"Let me get this straight. First of all I think it best that you people learn proper English before you write on my page. Secondly, I don't know what on earth you all are upset about. It's not like I deliberately sabotaged Elaine's race. She is the reigning Olympic Champion and should have known to prepare herself better for this. Thirdly, I didn't even win the race. I only got the bronze medal running out of lane nine. So why am I being attacked? Shouldn't you people be attacking Tori Bowie? She was the one who won the gold not me. Another thing, if I was a drug cheat like you love to claim, wouldn't I be winning gold more often? But I guess Tori gets a pass because she looks like one of you right?"

BorntoRun responded:

"Wot you afi mean by "you people" and "one of you"? Hmm… a cheater and a racist too?"

Schippers has since blocked all the trollers.
