A picture of a dog has become an internet sensation overnight, causing oohs and awws to break out all over the country, in what has now been described by the World Health Organisation as an epidemic. Scientists have been tracking the image and have now determined that it has thus far followed classic viral patterns of movement across the globe. Within 24 hours, it is thought that almost all human beings will have seen the image, and subsequently suffered.
"I first saw it on Reddit," claims one teenager. "My other friends say they saw it on Facebook first, but I know that's a lie because one girl on imgur told me that it was on 9gag first, then 4chan, then flickr, before it showed up on the Facebook wall. So I'm thinking perhaps it didn't really come from any of these sources at all, but instead it's like an alien message from outside our galaxy? It's the only reasonable explanation."
The image, seemingly of a stuffed dog, probably long dead, has been seen "in the wild" with a number of different titles or captions. The WHO have suggested that all those who are likely to come into contact with the picture should prepare for what may come by familiarising themselves with the following captions.
- "It's soooo sweeeeet!"
- "I'm sorry I shit all over the floor"
- "If I can't see them, they can't see me, right?"
- "If I lie on top of my defecation, they can't see shit."
If you have already seen the image you are advised not to repost it, claim OP, or chew your own vomit.
