Fresh off her devastating victory over Ronda Rousey at UFC 207, Amanda Nunes has taken to social media to poke fun at American female fighters. She even went as far as to refer to them as "weaklings." Writing on her Facebook wall, the reigning women's Bantamweight Champion had this to say:
" I hope that I have to fight more American women in the future. They are so easy to beat. They may look tough and all but in reality they are a bunch of weaklings. Just look how easy it was for me to defeat both Miesha and Ronda. They can't punch, they can't grapple and they sorely lack fighting skills. I don't know what are the methods that their respective coaches use to train them. but it is apparent that they haven't learnt much regarding mixed martial arts. That's why I am called the Lioness."
One responder to Nunes' post who took umbrage to her comment said:
"Of course Amanda. The Lioness who lost to me via TKO at UFC 178. Maybe we should have a rematch to see who is the better feline."
The person responding was Cat Zingano. Amanda is yet to give her reply.
