Reigning World UFC Featherweight Women's Champion Cris Cyborg is challenging WWE's branding of Ronda Rousey with the title "Baddest Woman on the Planet" claiming that it is "ludicrous" and "absolutely undeserving".
The Brazilian made the comments in an interview today with ESPN. An absolutely annoyed Cyborg had this to say about the former UFC Bantamweight Women's Champion:
"I want the WWE to tell me how on earth is Ronda the "Baddest Woman on the Planet"? How can the WWE be so ignorant and bestow such a title to a woman who is so undeserving of it? Why are they hyping her up as this big bad woman who can beat anybody on earth? Anybody who even has half a brain can tell you that she is nothing more than an over-hyped coward who cries like a baby when she gets her ass beat. Anybody who saw her last two UFC fights can tell you that. That's why she avoided fighting me when she was in her so-called hey-day in the UFC."
She continued:
"Anyone who has seen me fight in the Octagon knows that the "Baddest Woman on the Planet" title rightly belongs to me. Just look at the way I absolutely destroy my opponents. So Ronda gets her ass beat by Holly Holm and loses her Bantamweight title then goes on Ellen and cries like a big baby about contemplating suicide, takes time off and returns a year or so later to fight Amanda and gets a worse beating then goes to the WWE to resurrect her career with fake fighting and now she's the so-called "Baddest Woman on the Planet"? That is ludicrous. She is absolutely underserving of that title."
Cyborg went on:
"How on earth is this even possible? But I have challenge for Ronda and I hope that she is listening, let us both settle the argument once and for all about who really is the "Baddest Woman on the Planet." Let's have a fight to determine who that title rightly belongs to. It doesn't even have to be in the Octagon. It can even be in the WWE ring. I want Ronda to call the date, time and venue for our bout. We can wrestle WWE style or fight MMA style. Let her decide how she wants to take me on."
She concluded:
"And I can guarantee you that at the end of the fight one woman is going to be the "Saddest Woman on the Planet". But guess what, I am sure as hell that it won't be me."
