Mexican President: Allowing Honduran migrants into our country is our duty as Latin Americans

Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto says that he has absolutely no problems with scores of Honduran immigrants coming into his country and that Mexicans must accept their Latin American brothers and sisters from south of the border with open arms.

At a press conference in Mexico City today Mr. Nieto was asked about what he was going to do about the hordes of Hondurans who are trying to pour into the country illegally. Nieto gave this response:

"I have absolutely no problem with them coming to Mexico. There is nothing wrong with that. They are our Latin American brothers and sisters from south of the border and we as Mexicans must accept them with open arms."

He continued:

"They share so much in common with us. History. Language. Culture. Let's be honest, can you really tell the difference between a Mexican and a Honduran just by looking at them? Even our accents are similar and we all speak Spanish. If that evil gringo to the north of us El diablo Trump wants to prevent them from coming to America then that is his business. We shouldn't expect anything less from him. We all know he only wants gringos in his country. So what's new?"

Nieto concluded:

"It's not like having the migrants come here to Mexico is going to change the demographics of the country because we all look the same. In fact, allowing the Hondurans here is our duty as Latin Americans. I suspect eventually that they would want to go further north to Los Estados Unidos though and I think I know why. Because I mean, let's face it, there are no welfare benefits for them to get here. Only Mexican nationals are entitled to that and its difficult enough for a Mexican to get a job so it would be virtually impossible for a Honduran to get one."
