Valentina "Bullet" Shevchenko is calling reigning Women's Bantamweight Champion Amanda "Lioness" Nunes a "big coward" for backing out of their title fight yesterday at UFC 213. Speaking to reporters moments after the planned bout was cancelled because the Brazilian was not "feeling well," an irate Shevchenko had this to say:
"I am not buying this stupid story about Amanda not feeling well as the reason why she couldn't fight me tonight one bit. It is quite obvious that she chickened out of the bout because she knows that I would have beaten the shit out of her. Remember at that press conference a month ago how she was this big bad bitch who even went to stoop so low as to jab me in my face with her fist? Now all of a sudden she's too ill to fight?"
The Kyrgyz-born Peruvian went on:
"Amanda knows fully well the she was going to get the ass-whipping of her life had she fought me last night. She knows for sure that I am not a weakling like Ronda Rousey or Miesha Tate because I am a former multiple World Champion in Kickboxing and Muay Thai who is not afraid of going toe to toe with her and who is also very strong. That was what she was afraid of. That I was going to beat her ass so badly that she would have felt so embarrassed and she would have had no choice but to retire. But what does this say about her? Doesn't it say that she is a big coward?"
She concluded:
"Perhaps she should stop referring to herself as the Lioness because frankly speaking, yesterday she acted more like a pussy. Besides, all it takes is one Bullet to put down the Lioness."
