In a rare case of a celebrity openly admitting her intentions to go under the knife, British Actress Lena Headey has stated that she is scheduled to undergo a cosmetic procedure next week in order to "look unique."
Writing on her Facebook wall, the 300 Actress said:
"To all my family, friends and fans out there, I have to make this announcement. It gives me great pleasure to say to you that I, Lena Heady will be undergoing a cosmetic procedure next week Thursday in order to change my face so that I will look unique. It's not that I find that I am ugly or anything. But there is something that has been disturbing me for years."
The 43-year-old continued:
"Ever since I played Queen Gorgo in 300 eleven years ago, many fans and movie lovers have been constantly mistaking me for another British Actress. It shouldn't come as a surprise as to who I am talking about. It's none other than Keira Knightley. That's right. Even though I am older than her and I have been acting far longer than her, many people have approached me in the streets and have said: "Aren't you Elizabeth from Pirates of the Caribbean?"
I often reply:
"No. I am Queen Gorgo from 300."
The typical response would be:
"Are you sure? You resemble Keira Knightley so much. Are you her older sister?"
I can't take it anymore."
She went on:
"Due to this fact and for me to have my own look, I have decided to go ahead with the planned cosmetic procedure so people will stop confusing me with Keira. Personally, I don't know her. I have never met her and I don't have any intentions of meeting her anytime soon. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against her. But it's just that I am so busy with my career right now. Especially playing Cersei on Game of Thrones and I am quite certain that she is also quite busy with her career as well."
Headey did appear to contradict what she said earlier in the post about having nothing against Knightley though when she ended by saying:
"It is hoped too that with the surgery, I will be able to look much younger and of course more beautiful than her."
